NCHM JEE 2018 - National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology will conduct NCHMCT JEE 2018 on April 28 for admissions to the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Hotel Administration programmes. NCHMCT is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India that runs and regulates academics for these professional courses that are offered at the affiliated 21 central institutes of hotel management, 2 new state IHMs (subject to clearance), 20 state government institutes of hotel management, 14 private institutes of hotel management and 1 public sector undertaking. A total of 8,124 seats will be allotted across the NCHM JEE 2018 participating institutes on merit basis. B.Sc. programmes in hospitality and hotel administration are offered jointly by the NCHM and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). NCHMCT has announced the eligibility criteria of NCHM JEE 2018 for candidates, who will be appearing for the entrance test. They will be required to fulfill the prescribed academic qualification, age limit, along with the other criteria.
Candidates must clear 10+2 system of senior secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects.
They must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Candidates, who are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent exam, are also allowed to appear for NCHM JEE 2018 on provisional basis.
General and OBC category candidates must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1 of year of admission.
NCHMCT has made available NCHM JEE 2018 application form and information brochure from December 24, 2017 onwards. The application fee is Rs.800 for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. For SC/ST/Physically Handicapped categories, the fee is Rs.400.

Admit card of NCHM JEE 2018 will be available from April 20 onwards. Candidates will be required to download the hall ticket as the conducting institute will not sent it via post. They must check the NCHM JEE 2018 admit card carefully for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should immediately be brought to the notice of JEE Cell in the council via email at [email protected]
A copy of NCHM JEE admit card 2018 duly self-attested has to be deposited with invigilator for his/her signature. It has to be kept safe and produced for appearing during counselling. Another copy is required to be retained at the examination centre.
Exam pattern of NCHM JEE 2018 comprises complete details about the joint entrance exam such as total number of questions, maximum marks, sections covered, language of question paper, etc. Check the key points below:
Time duration- NCHM JEE 2018 will be conducted for three hours.
Language of question paper- Question paper of NCHM JEE 2018 will be bilingual, i.e., in Hindi and English (except for English language).
Type of questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the entrance exam.
Marking scheme- One mark will be rewarded for each correct response under Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning & Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and English Language components. 0.25 marks will be deducted for any wrong answer.

NCHMCT will declare the result of NCHM JEE 2018 in third week of May. Candidates, who have appeared for the entrance exam, can check the result in online mode only. They will be able to check the marks obtained. Test-takers will be shortlisted on the basis of the minimum qualifying marks criteria of NCHM JEE 2018. The seat allotment will be done on basis of NCHM JEE 2018 merit list prepared after the announcement of results.
NHCMCT, the exam conducting body, will determine the cutoff of NCHM JEE 2018 in the month of May. NCHM JEE 2018 cutoff will be decided on the basis of minimum qualifying marks criteria and rank obtained by the test-takers.
National Informatics Centre (NIC), on behalf of National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), will conduct three rounds of NCHM JEE 2018 counselling on the basis of candidates’ merit in the entrance exam. Online registration and choice filling before counselling procedure of NCHM JEE 2018 can be done from last week of May to second week of June. There are as many as 58 NCHM JEE 2018 participating institutes including centrally funded, state funded and private institutes that will offer a total of 8,124 seats in B.Sc. programmes. National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) will admit only those candidates, who will qualify NCHM JEE 2018 as per the minimum qualifying marks. Moreover, it reserves the right to add or reduce number of institutes and seats.
About B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration Programme
The three-year (six semester) professional course equip the students with the required skills and knowledge for effectively discharge responsibilities in the hospitality domain. It will include in-depth studies of food production, food & beverage service, front office operation, house keeping, etc.
NCHM JEE Selection Procedure 2018
NCHMCT will shortlist the candidates on basis of marks and ranks obtained by them in NCHM JEE 2018. A merit list will be prepared on basis of result of NCHM JEE 2018, and those securing higher marks will be ranked higher in the merit list.
