About NCHM JEE 2020

NCHMCT JEE is a national level exam conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in hospitality. Earlier it was conducted by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology(NCHMT). Students can fill NCHM JEE online application form from January 1 to February 29, 2020. The exam will be conducted in computer based mode on April 25, 2020. The answer key will be released in first week of May 2020. Candidates who will appear for NCHM JEE 2020 can take admission in two undergraduate courses - B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration(Generic or Specialization). NCHMCT, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, regulates admission to professional courses that are offered at the affiliated 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 20 Private Institutes of Hotel Management, 21 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management and a Public Sector Undertaking.

It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility for NCHMCT JEE 2020:

  • Qualifying Examination - Pass in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional). Qualifying examination should be conducted by any recognised central or state board such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate. Qualifying examination could also be from any board or university in India or foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates who will appear for the qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply under provisional basis.
  • Age Limit - For students applying under General and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 25 years as on the year of the admission. In the case of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, the upper age limit is 28 years as on the year of admission. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Certificate shall be used to determine the age of the candidate.

Mode of Application : Online

The application form for NCHMCT JEE 2020 will be available from January 1  and the last date for submission of form will be February 29. Candidates must fill the online form and pay a registration fee of Rs 800 (General and OBC) and Rs 400 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender. 

  • Details filled by the candidate like his/her name, father and mother's name, date of birth should match the one in the documents furnished by him/her. 
  • If no category is selected by the candidate, quota will apply. Category once selected by the candidate cannot be changed. If a student belongs to two categories, he/she should check both of the boxes.
  • If the student has not given the qualifying exam, he/she should check the 'APPEARING' box
  • Candidate should upload an unattested recent photograph of himself/herself with a white background. Students should remember that all the information provided by them will be verified during counselling.

NCHMCT JEE 2020 is a written examination of 3 hours which can be given in Hindi or English. NCHMCT JEE 2020 consists of 200 multiple choice questions in the below subjects:

                                                                                                                                                                    Each correct answer under 1,2,3 and 4 subject carries four marks while for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. 

Candidates who will fill the application form can download the admit card of NCHMCT JEE 2020 from NCHMTC website from April 1, 2020. Admit card of NCHMCT JEE 2020 will not be send through the post. One copy of self-attested NCHM admit card should be deposited with the invigilator for his/her signature and furnished during the counselling. A second copy of NCHMCT JEE admit card must be presented during the written examination. All the details of the NCHM CT JEE admit card must be verified by the student and if there is any discrepancy, it should be immediately brought to the notice of JEE Cell by emailing at [email protected]

The National Testing Agency  released the answer key for NCHMCT JEE 2020 in first week of May. Candidates can challenge NCHMCT JEE 2020 answer key till first week of May.  Candidates will have to provide adequate proof and pay the processing fee of Rs 1000 per question that they would challenge.The answer key of NCHMCT JEE 2020 will contain the responses of the questions that will be  asked in the entrance exam. It will also indicate the marks that are awarded for every right answer and are deducted for every wrong answer.

Candidates who will appear for NCHMCT JEE 2020 can check the result of the written examination on the NCHMTC website. The result of NCHM JEE 2020 will be declared on May 10, 2020. Qualified candidates can check the score obtained by visiting the council's website, clicking on the 'Result' tab and entering login credentials like roll number, application number, date of birth and security pin.

Selection of the candidate will be based on his/her rank i.e. marks scored by the candidate in the NCHMCT JEE 2020. Cut off for each category of NCHMCT 2020 which is opening and closing ranks for participating institutes will be announced by NTA on their website. Candidates can check previous year cut off to get an idea about the closing ranks for each participating college.

Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline

Three rounds of counselling will be conducted by NCHMCT for NCHMCT JEE 2020. NTA has allocated All India Ranks to the qualifying candidates based on the marks scored in the written examination. The counselling process of NCHMCT JEE 2020 will start from fourth week of May and will be done on merit basis i.e. rank of the candidate in his/her category.  Candidates will have to register online by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1000 and fill their choices of colleges for the first two rounds. On the day of counselling, candidate will get  the opportunity to opt for a college available to him/her according to his/her rank and pay the tuition fee for the first semester. Eligibility of the candidate along with the documents furnished by him/her will also be checked. Seats in the participating college will be offered on the basis of student's AIR, category, choice of the institute and availability of seat in those institutes. The result of NCHMCT JEE 2020 seat allotment round 1 will be declared in second week of June.

Registration for NCHMJEE 2020 will starts from 1st January 2020 and EXAMINATION will happens on April 25..And results will be declared on 10 may 2020 in online mode..You can check your result by entering roll number, application Number, date of birth and security number..

The eligibility critical for NCHM JEE is as follows,
  • Candidates need to be 10+2 pass
  • Having English subject in 12 is mandatory

Things you need to get clear,
  • Admission will be cancelled if candidate fails to provide passing Certificate of 10+2 on or by sep/30/ 2020.
  • Admission will be confirmed only after certificate verification

Age limit
  • General and OBC upto 25 years
  • SC and ST upto  28 years
