For UG Courses: -

• There are generally 2 ways for admission in hotel management colleges -

• Entrance exam based: - In this procedure a student should appear for some entrance exams which are accepted or conducted by hotel management colleges. Few colleges demand entrance exams for admission. One of the famous entrance exams is NCHMCT JEE. Once the examination is completed the student’s get their results and simultaneously the colleges also declare their cutoffs. Cutoffs means a benchmark (percentage) at which a student may get admission. For getting admission the students result should be equal to the cutoff or more than the cutoff. 

It should be noted that every college declares their own cutoff which may be different or like other colleges. A student will get a seat or admission to only that college of whose he or she passed the cutoff range. 

• Merit basis - This is quite a simple procedure. Admissions in this process is given based on percentage or percentile acquired in 10+2 examinations. Again, the colleges declare their cutoff during admission time and students who may have scored equal to it or more than the cutoff in their boards or 10+2 examination will get the admission in college.

For PG Courses: - 

• The admission process for PG is remarkably similar to the admission process of UG. 

• IN PG also there are two admission Processes that are Entrance exam and Merit basis. 

• For entrance exam there is the same exam as UG that is NCHMCT JEE. 

• For merit basis results of bachelor’s are considered.
