These include 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 25 State Institutes of Hotel Management (SIHMs), one PSU, and 24 Private Institutes of Hotel Management. Institute of Hotel Management: Eligibility Criteria
To get into IHMs, hotel management aspirants in India need to meet the eligibility criteria set by the central, state, and private institutes.
- A candidate should be an Indian citizen
- A candidate should have completed class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in total from a recognised board or equivalent
- A candidate should have qualified NCHM JEE 2024 with a high score as per the college’s requirements.

IHMs Courses: Admission
NCHM JEE is the entrance exam for admission to UG and PG courses in IHMs, with different syllabi for each level. For Diploma and Craftsmanship courses in IHMs, aspirants need to have good marks in Class 12th with English as a subject. The application form for IHM admissions in Diploma and Craftsmanship courses is available on the college website in May and the course begins in July-August every year. For PG diploma courses admissions in IHMs, aspirants need to have a good academic record in graduation. NCHM JEE is a computer-based test for BSc. HHA and MSc in Hospitality Administration course.
