NCHMCT JEE Counselling 2020 - National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) will start from the fourth week of May. The authorities will conduct NCHMCT JEE seat allotment in three rounds. Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their NCHMCT JEE rank, category and choice of institutes. During the counselling, document verification will be done. Candidates have to appear with all the original documents at the time of counselling. After verification of documents by the university, the allotment of the seat takes place. NCHMCT is conducting three rounds of NCHMCT JEE 2020 counselling solely on merit basis for admissions to over 8,000 seats of B.Sc registration and choice filling for NCHMCT JEE counselling 2020 will be started the last week of May. The counselling of NCHMCT JEE 2020 comprises checking candidates’ eligibility, document verification, depositing counselling and first-semester fee, along with choosing institutes as available at the time of NCHMCT counselling based on their All India Rank (AIR). A total of 71 participating institutes will offer admissions based on the candidates’ performance in NCHMCT JEE 2020. NCHM JEE 2020 Counselling Schedule

National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducted NCHMCT JEE 2020 in computer-based mode on April 25 for the first time as earlier it will be conducted by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The schedule related to the NCHMCT JEE counselling is given below in the table.

NCHMCT JEE 2020 Counselling: Important Instructions

  • The qualified candidates should give a maximum number of choices after evaluating all the institutes.

  • In case the proof of passing the qualifying exam (10+2 or it's equivalent) is not submitted by the provisionally admitted candidates at the time of counselling/admission/latest by last week of September, then the Institute will cancel their admission.

  • Secondary Education Board/Pre-University certificate will be accepted for the date of birth proof during the admission procedure. Those failing to do so will not be considered for admissions.

  • As much as 5% to 15% extra seats over and above the decided intake may be offered as per the requirement to take care of no-shows and dropouts during the counselling of NCHMCT JEE 2020.

  • Candidates have to deposit a copy of duly attested admit card with invigilator for his/her signature. It should be kept safe and produced for appearing during the counselling procedure of NCHMCT JEE 2020. The second copy should be retained at the test centre.

NCHM JEE counselling 2020 through NIC on behalf of NCHMCT: Important details

  • Registration- It can be done only in online mode. All eligible candidates to be considered for first and second round of counselling of NCHMCT JEE 2020. Only those credentials will be used for NCHMCT JEE counselling 2020 that will be given by them during the application procedure.

  • Choice filling and locking- Registered candidates are required to fill their choices and lock them. These preferences will be used for first and second rounds of allotment. Online choice modifications can be done, and candidates can lock them again in round two of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2020. Choices should be filled in order of preference.

  • Online seat allotment- Seats will be offered to the qualified candidates on the basis of their AIR, category, choices and seat availability. They will be able to know the seat allotment result in online mode.

  • Reporting to RC after seat allocation and fee payment- Those, who have been allotted seat, they will have to deposit seat acceptance fee of Rs. 40,000 which includes the 1st-semester fee (Rs. 38,000 and counselling charges (Rs. 2,000) through HDFC payment gateway available on the official website. After depositing the fee, candidates have to go for verification of documents at any reporting centre, along with the details of depositing fee and other testimonials.

  • Candidates who have deposited the fee in the first round or second round of counselling and allotted a seat, but wish to take part in the third and final round of counselling, they do not have to pay again any seat acceptance fee. A candidate who has been deposited fee in the first or second round of Counselling and not allotted any seat, same fees will be considered for the same.

  • Withdrawal of allotted seat and refund rule- A candidate can cancel the allotted seat and claim for refund. The fee refund for cancellation of seat allocation will be processed only after receipt of the required documents after deduction of Rs.1000. The refund will be done with a period of 45 days from the date of starting of classes.

About NCHM JEE 2020 Spot Round Counselling

It is expected that like every year, all the reporting centres will hold spot round of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2020 wherein the below mentioned candidates will be eligible:

  • Eligible candidates, who did not register during main counselling (absentees)

  • Those, who have registered in the round one and have been allotted a seat in the first and second round, but did not report at the RC

  • Eligible candidates, who have withdrawn before the spot round of NCHM JEE 2020 counselling

  • All provisionally admitted candidates

Admission to allotted institution and hostel- Candidates, who are provisionally admitted in round one, two or All India Rank (spot round, will have to report at the allocated institute along with the allotment letter and original testimonials with attested copies for completion of the admission formalities.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

A: When 100% of the fee is permitted except the counselling fee of Rs.2,000

  • Candidates, who participated the counselling and are not allotted seat till final round of counselling can get the refund of Rs. 38,000.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during the first and second round of counselling but withdraw are eligible for a refund of Rs. 38000.

  • Those, who are allotted seat during round one or two of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2020 and deposited fee online, but did not report to the reporting centre for verification of documents within the specified time period, their seat will be treated as cancelled and are eligible for a refund of Rs. 38,000.

B. Where a part refund of the total fee is allowed

  • Under this category, a total amount will be forfeited is Rs. 2000 +Rs. 29100, which is equivalent to 50 percent of first-semester fee.
  • Only those candidates are eligible for the refund, who are allocated seat in first, second and spot rounds, but could not withdraw and not reported at the allotted institution.

  • Candidates, who have been allotted seat via first, second and spot rounds of counselling of NCHMCT JEE 2020, reported to the allotted institute but did not attend class are eligible to get refund of Rs. 89,000

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during first, second & final rounds of counselling and could not withdraw and not even reported for admission at the allotted Institute are eligible to get refund of only Rs. 8900

Hello dear student !

IHM is one of the renowned institutes of India. The ranking you need to get selected in IHM depends on your category (General /OBC/SC/ST) . If you comes under General catagory, then you need to secure a rank between 15-400 for best colleges which basically includes IHM Mumbai, Banglore and Pusa. If you are from OBC catagory, then you can get admission with rank till 1800 for Pusa , 5000 for Mumbai as well as 9000 for IHM Banglore. Rest the cut off changes every year.

NCHMCT JEE is a national level exam conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the admission to undergraduate courses in hospitality. As per the eligibility, You should be passed in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional).

The application form of NCHMCT JEE is already released on 1 January 2020. The last date to submit application form is 20 March 2020. The entrance exam will be held on 25 April 2020.

NCHM JEE exam is for hotel management and hospitality students, if you pass this exam you can get admission in top hotel management and hospitality colleges of India.

Registration for NCHM JEE 2020 already started from 1 January 2020 and the last date for registration is 29 February 2020.
