IHM Chennai Admissions 2022: Institute of Hotel Management Chennai was founded in the year 1963 jointly managed by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Govt. of India. Also popularly known as IHM Chennai, it imparts quality training in a three-year degree B.Sc HHA programme, two-year postgraduate MSc. HHA and one and half year diploma and craftsmanship courses.
Currently, admission in IHM Chennai’s BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered through NCHMCT JEE that is conducted by NTA and the degree on completion of the course is awarded by IGNOU. Aspirants applying for admission must fulfil the IHM Chennai eligibility criteria that is strictly under the IHM Chennai admission guidelines. IHM Mumbai BSc. admission is done on the basis of the NCHM JEE 2022 score, conducted by the National Testing Agency. This is followed by counselling where seats are allotted to students on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) in the national-level examination.
A candidate under the general category must not be more than 25 years of age as of July 1, 2022, while for SC/ST candidates there is an age relaxation up to 28 years.
Candidates must pass in the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects.
For a diploma in food production, successful completion of H.S.C. (12th class of 10+2 pattern) or equivalent qualification with English as one of the subjects in the final examinations is required.
For the year 2021, candidates can check the IHM Chennai cutoff for the first round here on the basis of the NCHMCT JEE Cutoff.

IHM Chennai admission process for BSc and MSc is done on the basis of the policies set by NCHMCT, which is the national-level conducting body for degree programmes in hotel management. Admission to all other programmes offered at IHM Chennai is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and a personal interview conducted at the institute-level.
For final selection, candidates need to clear NCHMCT JEE. This is followed by a NCHM JEE counselling session where students are allotted colleges as per the All India Rank (AIR) in NCHMCT JEE. The upper limit age for admission to BSc is 25 years for General category students and for SC/ST students, the upper age limit is 28 years.
IHM Chennai application process for BSc is set by NCHMCT. Candidates need to clear NCHMCT JEE for admission to BSc and attend the counselling after the examination is conducted. Candidates need to submit the application form along with the application fee to appear in the examination. The steps to fill the application form are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NCHMCT www.ntanchm.nic.in to fill the online application form.
Step 2: Fill your personal details after which an application number will be generated. Save this number and also generate a password for all future logins.
Step 3: Login to your account to fill the application form.
Step 4: Upload scanned images of your signature (between 4 KB and 30 KB) and passport-size photograph against a black/white background (between 10 KB and 200 KB). All the scanned images should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format only.
Step 5: Pay the application fee using Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking.

IHM Chennai Diploma admission is done as per the rules of the institute. For final selection, candidates need to clear a personal interview conducted within the institute. The upper age limit for admission is 25 years for General category students and for the students from SC/ST, the upper age limit is 28 years. The diploma is offered in courses such as Food production, housekeeping operation and food and beverage service.
For IHM Chennai Craftsmanship Course, the final selection is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the qualifying examination as well as a personal interview conducted within the institute. The upper age limit for General category applicants is 25 years and for the applicants from SC/ST, it is 28 years. The craftsmanship courses are provided in food production and patisserie and food and beverage service.
IHM Chennai PG Diploma admission is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and a personal interview conducted at the institute-level. The upper age limit for admission to PG Diploma programmes is 25 years for General category applicants and for candidates from the reserved category, the upper age limit is 28 years. The PG Diploma can be done in the following courses: Dietetics and Hospital Food Service, Accommodation Operation and Management.

According to the information in the NCHM-JEE Exam , you are not required to attempt all questions . The exam consists of 200 questions , and you can attempt as many questions as you like within the given time limit of 3 hours . There is no limit on the number of questions you can attempt from each section.

Visit the official website of NCHM JEE, nchmjeenta.nic.in. Click on the ‘NCHM JEE 2022 admit card’ tab. Enter your application number and date of birth. NCHMCT JEE 2022 admit card will appear on the screen. Download the admit card and take multiple printouts of the same for future reference.
