During the MAH BHMCT CET counselling process, candidates will get the seat allotment based on their ranks and college preferences given to them.
The normalisation process makes sure that every student exam paper is evaluated with equal fairness. Candidates will not get any advantage or disadvantage in terms of different MAH BHMCT CET question paper or difficulty level of the exam. Authorities from Cell cell, Maharashtra will convert the raw marks into percentile score in MAH BHMCT CET 2026.
After creating the percentile scores, the authorities will combine the scores from all shifts to prepare the final merit list. This evaluation process ensures that candidates who face tougher questions do not face any disadvantage, while candidates who receive easier questions do not gain an unfair advantage.
The percentile score in MAH BHMCT СЕТ exam 2026 indicates the candidates' performance compared to all other candidates who have appeared for the exam. Instead of showing only raw marks, authorities will use percentile to indicate the percentage of candidates who scored equal or below the mentioned score. In simpler terms, a candidates who scores 90 percentile in МАН ВHMCT СЕT 2026 exam means he/she has performed better than 90% of the candidates. The CET cell authorities will calculate the MAH BHMCT percentile separately and then combine the scores to prepare a final result. Check the below given points to understand about percentile score in simpler terms:
90 percentile = You scored better than 90% of candidates
70 percentile = You scored better than 70% of candidates
100 percentile = Highest performer in that session
The process of calculating percentile scores begins with the distribution of examinees, followed by the preparation of the results of each session and the compilation of each CET score.
Step 1: Distribution of candidates
The authorities distribute the examinees over one day and in three shifts per day. Candidates would be distributed into three sessions randomly, such that each session has approximately an equal number of candidates.
Step 2: Preparation of the results of each session
Once examinees are distributed, results for each session are prepared in the form of Raw Scores using the percentile score formula.

Step 3: Compilation of each CET score
Finally, percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the three sessions are merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores which will then be used for compilation of results.
MAH CET Result Normalisation for BBA
Example: Suppose a test was held in 3 sessions of examinees as per details given below: - (Allocation of Days and shifts were done randomly) (a) Distribution of candidates were as follows:
Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1)
Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2),
Session-3: Day-1 Batch 3 (D1-B3)
MAH BHMCT CET Session | Day/Batch | Candidates Absent | Candidates Present | Total Candidates | Highest Marks | Lowest Marks |
Session 1 | D1 B1 | 150 | 2249 | 2399 | 144 | 1 |

Session 3 | D1 B3 | 215 | 2216 | 2431 | 149 | 0 |

1 | 2249 | 154 | 2249 | 100.0000000 [(2249/2249)*100] |
