NCHMCT JEE 2020- Important Instructions on COVID-19 for Exam Day: National Testing Agency has recently announced the exam dates of NCHM JEE 2020. Along with the release of NCHMCT JEE admit card, NTA has also issued a set of guidelines that a candidate needs to mandatorily follow amidst of covid-19. It has made it compulsory for candidates to bring the duly filled undertaking form of covid-19. NCHMCT JEE 2020 admit card released on August 14. The candidates are advised to go through the admit card and the important instructions contained therein vigilantly. National Council of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination ( NCHM JEE) is scheduled to be conducted on August 29, 2020. Candidates will be required to bring their NCHM JEE admit card along with the other important set of documents mentioned by NTA on their official website. Advisory for candidates regarding covid-19
Since NCHM JEE 2020 will be conducted amidst of the covid-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency has issued social distancing measures as per Government of India guidelines. Proper measures are implemented for students’ safety without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in conduct of the examination. Candidates are also required to adhere to guidelines and new processes for social distancing and hygiene to ensure safety and health of their own and fellow candidates.
Also NTA has strongly advised the candidates not to bring anything other than permitted items. However the arrangement for the belongings like handbags and wallets will be provided but at the owner’s risk. First of all let us check what are the preparations ensured at the NCHM JEE exam centre.
Preparations done at the centre
Standard operating procedures for implementing safety precautions and for maintaining required standards of hygiene are getting implemented.
Before each shift starts (and after the last shift of the candidate) the seating area will be thoroughly sanitized - monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and the chair. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc will be disinfected. Also wheelchairs (if present at the venue) will be disinfected.
Hand sanitizer will be available at entry and inside the exam venue at various places for candidates and centre staff to use
Gap between two seats will be maintained as per GOI guidelines.
Barcode readers will be available at the entry point to scan barcodes on the admit card. The lab number will be informed to the candidate at this point.
Rough sheets will be kept at all desks before the start of exam by invigilators wearing gloves to ensure hygiene.
It is ensured that all the processes are touch free to ensure social distancing norms.
Pre- Exam Preparation from candidates’ end
Candidates must check reporting/ entry time at the centre given in the admit card and must report to the centre one and half hour before the exam..
Candidates must wisely fill the admit card as per instructions.
Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them into the venue: These items are a transparent ball point pen, valid ID proof, undertaking covid-19 form, additional photograph, personal hand sanitizer and water bottle
Instructions to be followed at the time of entry
Candidates need to maintain a space of at least 6 feet from each other at all the time. Queue manager / ropes and floor marks will be arranged outside the centre
Lab numbers will not be displayed outside the centre to avoid any crowding at any one place in any situation.
Candidates will be required to sanitize hands by washing with soap and with hand sanitizer before entry in the centre. Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations in the centre.
Candidates should bring duly filled in admit cards as per instructions.
Candidates will be offered a fresh 3 Ply mask before entry. In order to stop chances of any UFM being used in the examination, the candidate is expected to wear the freshly provided mask at the centre. The candidate will be required to remove the mask worn by him/ her from home, and use the mask provided at centre only.
Candidates should bring valid ID proof along with them.
Do not bring prohibited items to the exam centre as there are no arrangements available for safe keeping your belongings.
At time of entry, the filled in undertaking on admit card, and body temperature (using Thermo Guns) will be checked and centre staff will guide candidates to respective labs after scanning barcode at admit card. Candidates are required to strictly adhere to instructions provided by centre staff.
Measures to be taken during entrance test
Five A4 size sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk for use by candidate for rough work. If additional sheets are required for rough work by the candidate, the same shall be made available on demand. Candidates can sanitize with sanitizers that will be made available in the examination lab/room/hall.
Candidates are required to paste passport size photograph and sign on the attendance sheet after sanitizing hands with sanitizer
Steps to be taken after completion of entrance test
On completion of a shift, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner one candidate at a time.
Candidates must wait for instructions from the invigilator and not get up from their seat until advised.
Candidates must drop the admit card and rough sheets in the advised boxes after displaying to the staff available next to the dropbox. If any candidate misses to drop admit card or rough sheets in boxes, action (which also includes disqualification from the exam) can be taken against him.

If you have been allotted a seat at IHM Chennai and you have paid the seat acceptance fee, reported to the reporting centre and selected the "Freeze" option in the 1st counselling round, then you can retain your seat. You can apply for 2nd round counselling but won't be able modify your choices.
