28 Dec'24Hi Mihir! Yes, you can get admission to NITs, including NIT Patna, after completing your diploma. The admission process is as follows:
1. Eligibility Criteria:
You must have completed a diploma (in Engineering or a related field) from a recognized institution.
You need to meet the required aggregate marks in your diploma (usually around 60% or more, but it may vary depending on the NIT).
2. Lateral Entry Scheme:
NITs offer lateral entry admission to students holding a diploma through the JEE Main exam.
You will enter directly into the second year (3rd semester) of the B.Tech program.
3. JEE Main Lateral Entry:
You will need to qualify for the JEE Main Lateral Entry examination, which is conducted by NTA. This exam is specifically for lateral entry candidates.
