• Candidates who belong to the general category should have cleared the HSC exam or its equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate.

• Aspirants who fall in the PwD category, reserved categories and economically weaker section and have domicile of Maharashtra should have passed the HSC exam or its equivalent and scored at least 40% marks in aggregate.

• People who belong to the backward class need to score at least 40% marks in aggregate.

• Candidates appearing for the final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

For the MAH BHMCT CET 2026, a single CET will replace the two separate CETs previously conducted for B. HMCT and BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM courses. This decision has been taken as the above courses share common eligibility criteria, making a unified examination suitable for all candidates.

The Maharashtra State CET cell will release the MAH BHMCT CET 2026 application form at cetcell.mahacet.org. The MAH BHMCT CET application form will be released in December 2025 tentatively. Candidates keen to obtain admission to the BHMCT programme need to register and apply before the deadline.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell prescribes the MAH BHMCT CET exam pattern every year through the official brochure. Candidates need to go through the MAH BHMCT exam pattern as it helps them to prepare well. Given that the entrance exam for BHMCT CET and the other Bachelor's courses has been unified, candidates need to account for a new exam pattern for MAH BHMCT CET 2026. 

The exam will be conducted in online mode and will consist of objective questions based on Reasoning (Verbal as well as Arithmetic), English Language, General Awareness including questions on culture, current national, international affairs, trade & commerce, sports, scientific inventions and discoveries, travel/tourism etc and a new subject called Computer Basics focusing on organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices, System software and Application Software and Basics of Internet.

MAH BHMCT CET Counselling Process 2026

The following is the process of MAH BHMCT CET counselling 2026 which will be conducted in three stages,

1st Stage: Registration & Fee Payment - Log in to the candidate portal by using the valid credentials. Candidates have to enter all the necessary details and upload the required documents. Then counselling fee payment has to be done as per the category. 

2nd Stage: Provisional List Announcement - The names of the shortlisted candidates will be published as a provisional merit list. They can submit their grievances along with the requisite documents at the facilitation centre.

3rd Stage: Release of Final Merit List - The authorities release the final merit list of MAH BHMCT CET 2026 counselling. Students who will be shortlisted for the CAP rounds will have to report at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for the document verification process and visit the allotted institute/college to complete the admission process.
