State Common Entrance Test Maharashtra conducts MAH HM CET to offer admission to candidates in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT) programmes at an undergraduate level.
MAH HM CET is the entrance test through which admission is offered to candidates in the participating institutes, which are approved and recognised by Government of Maharashtra. The entrance exam is conducted at different cities across India. All candidates who are Indian nationals are eligible to apply for MAH HM CET exam.
The eligibility criteria of MAH HM CET 2020 mentions the educational qualification, percentage of marks that candidates should score in the qualifying exam to be eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
Academic Qualification and Percentage
Candidates should have cleared HSC exam or its equivalent and scored at least 45% marks in aggregate.
PwD category and have domicile of Maharashtra
Should have passed HSC exam or its equivalent and scored at least 40% marks in aggregate.
Need to score at least 40% marks in aggregate
Candidates who will be appearing in the qualifying exam, they will also be eligible to appear for MAH HM CET 2020
The aggregate marks will be determined by rounding off to two places after the decimal.
Candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste, Other Backwards Class, SBC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), they will have to provide “Caste Validity Certificate” which is issued by Social Welfare Department
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe category will have to provide a certificate issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department
At the time of verification of documents, candidates would have to also provide a valid known- creamy layer certificate except SC, ST
MAH HM CET 2020 application form released in online mode on March 2 and the end date for filling will be April 15. Candidates who belong to general category will have to pay Rs. 800 as an application fee while those who belong to the reserved category have to pay Rs. 600. Candidates can pay the fees in online mode through debit card, credit card, cash cards or mobile wallets.
