NCHMCT JEE Counselling 2019 - National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) declared NCHMCT JEE seat allotment result for third and final round on July 2, 2019. The authorities started registration and choice filling for third and final round. Candidates had to enter their roll number, application number, name, mother's name, date of birth and security to register themselves. NCHMCT released the vacancy position for third and final round. The authorities announced seat allotment result round - 2, along with opening and closing rank for the same. NCHMCT started withdrawal of seat and the process of fee refund. Candidates can check the details below in this article. The authorities released the list of vacant position for round 2 on June 17, 2019. The authorities released NCHM JEE seat allotment result round 1. NCHMCT is conducting three rounds of NCHM JEE 2019 counselling solely on merit basis for admissions to over 8,000 B.Sc. seats. Registration and choice filling for NCHMCT JEE counselling 2019 started from May 27. The counselling of NCHMCT JEE 2019 comprises checking candidates’ eligibility, document verification, depositing counselling and first-semester fee, along with choosing institutes as available at the time of NCHMCT counselling based on their All India Rank (AIR). A total of 58 participating institutes will offer admissions based on the candidates’ performance in NCHM JEE 2019. NCHM JEE 2019 Counselling Schedule

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted NCHM JEE 2019 in computer based mode on April 27 for the first time as earlier it was conducted by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The schedule related to the NCHM JEE counselling is given below in the table.

NCHM JEE 2019 Counselling: Important Instructions

  • The qualified candidates should give maximum number of choices after evaluating all the institutes.

  • In case the proof of passing the qualifying exam (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted by the provisionally admitted candidates at the time of counselling/admission/latest by last week of September, then the Institute will cancel their admission.

  • Secondary Education Board/Pre-University certificate will be accepted for the date of birth proof during the admission procedure. Those failing to do so will not be considered for admissions.

  • As much as 5% to 15% extra seats over and above the decided intake may be offered as per requirement to take care of no-shows and dropouts during the counselling of NCHM JEE 2019.

  • Candidates have to deposit a copy of duly attested admit card with invigilator for his/her signature. It should be kept safe and produced for appearing during the counselling procedure of NCHM JEE 2019. The second copy should be retained at the test centre.

NCHM JEE counselling 2019 through NIC on behalf of NCHMCT: Important details

  • Registration- It can be done only in online mode. All eligible candidates to be considered for first and second round of counselling of NCHM JEE 2019. Only those credentials will be used for NCHM JEE counselling 2019 that were given by them during the application procedure.

  • Choice filling and locking- Registered candidates are required to fill their choices and lock them. These preferences will be used for first and second rounds of allotment. Online choice modifications can be done, and candidates can lock them again in round two of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2019. Choices should be filled in order of preference.

  • Online seat allotment- Seats will be offered to the qualified candidates on the basis of their AIR, category, choices and seat availability. They will be able to know the seat allotment result in online mode.

  • Reporting to RC after seat allocation and fee payment- Those, who have been allotted seat, they will have to deposit seat acceptance fee of Rs. 40,000 which includes 1st semester fee (Rs. 38,000 and counselling charges (Rs. 2,000) through HDFC payment gateway available on official website. After depositing the fee, candidates have to go for verification of documents at any reporting centre, along with the details of depositing fee and other testimonials.

  • Candidates who have deposited fee in the first round or second round of counselling and allotted a seat, but wish to take part in third and final round of counselling, they do not have to pay again any seat acceptance fee. Candidate who have been deposited fee in first or second round of Counselling and not allotted any seat, same fees will be considered for the same.

  • Withdrawal of allotted seat and refund rule- A candidate can cancel the allotted seat and claim for refund. Fee refund for cancellation of seat allocation will be processed only after receipt of the required documents after deduction of Rs.1000. The refund will be done with a period of 45 days from the date of starting of classes.

About NCHM JEE 2019 Spot Round Counselling

It is expected that like every year, all the reporting centres will hold spot round of NCHM JEE counselling 2019 wherein the below mentioned candidates will be eligible:

  • Eligible candidates, who did not register during main counselling (absentees)

  • Those, who have registered in the round one and have been allotted a seat in first and second round, but did not report at the RC

  • Eligible candidates, who have withdrawn before the spot round of NCHM JEE 2019 counselling

  • All provisionally admitted candidates

Admission to allotted institution and hostel- Candidates, who are provisionally admitted in round one, two or All India Rank (spot round, will have to report at the allocated institute along with the allotment letter and original testimonials with attested copies for completion of the admission formalities.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

A: When 100% of the fee is permitted except the counselling fee of Rs.2,000

  • Candidates, who participated the counselling and are not allotted seat till final round of counselling can get the refund of Rs. 38,000.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during first and second round of counselling but withdraw are eligible for refund of Rs. 38000.

  • Those, who are allotted seat during round one or two of NCHM JEE counselling 2019 and deposited fee online, but did not report to the reporting centre for verification of documents within the specified time period, their seat will be treated as cancelled and are eligible for refund of Rs. 38,000.

B. Where part refund of the total fee is allowed

  • Under this category, a total amount will be forfeited is Rs. 2000 +Rs. 29100, which is equivalent to 50 percent of first semester fee.
  • Only those candidates are eligible for the refund, who are allocated seat in first, second and spot rounds, but could not withdraw and not reported at the allotted institution.

  • Candidates, who have been allotted seat via first, second and spot rounds of counselling of NCHM JEE 2019, reported to the allotted institute , but did not attend class are eligible to get refund of Rs. 89,000

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during first, second & final rounds of counselling and could not withdraw and not even reported for admission at the allotted Institute are eligible to get refund of only Rs. 8900

Over 8,000 seats will be allotted across 58 participating institutes solely on the candidates’ performance in NCHM JEE 2019. The eligibility critical for NCHM JEE is as follows,
  • Candidates need to be 10+2 pass
  • Having English subject in 12 is mandatory

Things you need to get clear,
  • Admission will be cancelled if candidate fails to provide passing Certificate of 10+2 on or by sep/30/ 2020.
  • Admission will be confirmed only after certificate verification

Age limit
  • General and OBC upto 25 years
  • SC and ST upto  28 years

NCHMCT JEE is a national level exam conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in hospitality. As per the eligibility to apply for 2020 Exam, The upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2020 for General or OBC category & 28 years for SC and ST as on 01.07.2020.
