MAH HM CET is an online exam that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. The exam is the key to get admission in all the colleges offering HMCT programmes which are approved and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. For undergraduate courses, there are 100 questions that are to be answered within 90 minutes. Every right answer fetches one mark and there is no negative marking. By clearing MAH HM CET, candidates can pursue four-year full-time graduate degree course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The entrance test comprises three sections – English Language, Reasoning and General Knowledge.

WGSHA is a constituent college of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). It is recognised by the International Hotel Association, Paris. Conducted by IIHM, Electronic Hotel Admission Test is a national-level exam which acts as a gateway to get an entry into one of the eight IIHMs that provide a globally recognised international degree in Hospitality Management in collaboration with ENU, UK and UWL, London. eChat is an objective test with 50 questions that are to be answered in 60 minutes. A merit list is released on the basis of the performance in the entrance test, group discussion and interview. National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) each year to offer admission in hospitality and hotel administration programmes. The test includes 200 questions which are to be completed in three hours. Each correct answer will fetch one mark and for every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks. By clearing JEE, candidates can secure admission in 21 Central Government sponsored Institutes of Hotel Management, 19 State Government sponsored IHMs; three State Government sponsored IHMs offering diploma Certificate programmes, one PSU-owned institute, 13 private institutes and nine Food Craft Institutes. This test provides an opportunity to the candidates to study B.Sc & M.Sc in Hospitality Administration and various other diploma courses. Studying in these institutions prepares the students to pursue a career in the field of hospitality. These institutes offer them enough industry exposure and adequate knowledge which help them in getting hired in top hotels.

Systematic Training and Education Programme is a three-year programme that trains students and provides practical exposure in the core areas of operational departments of hotels. STEP offers two programmes: The Kitchen Operation Programme and The Hotel Operation Programme. Under these programmes, students are also enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Studies (BTS) from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
