This interview with Mr. Rajveer Singh Bhati, an alumnus at UEI Global Jaipur is presented to you by Careers360. In this interview, Rajveer shares his experience at UEI Global, Jaipur.
Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested or you switched.
Rajveer: I'm Rajveer Singh Bhati, currently working as a Guest Service Officer and Night Auditor at Mysk by Shaza Hotels, Bahrain. I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from UEI Global College, Jaipur (Batch 2018–2021).
My professional journey started in 2020 at Fairmont Jaipur as an Administrative Executive. Later, I moved into hotel operations and joined Wyndham Garden Manama in Bahrain as a Concierge Shift Leader.
I also worked as a Guest Service Associate (Shift Incharge) at JW Marriott Pune, where I handled guest experience and transportation. Today, I specialise in guest relations, front office operations, and quality assurance. I’m proud to say that I pursued the same field I was passionate about during college.
Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Rajveer: My career began with a back-office role at Fairmont Jaipur, where I gained foundational knowledge. But my interest leaned more toward operations and guest interaction. This led me to the Gulf region, where I worked with Wyndham Hotels and grew into team leadership. My next move was to JW Marriott Pune, which gave me exposure to luxury hospitality and deepened my skills in guest experience. Currently, I’m based in Bahrain, handling night audit and guest services at Mysk by Shaza. Each step has added new learning and responsibility, and I’m proud of the global path I’ve been able to create.
Careers360: Is the Industry work different from what you learnt at UEI Global Jaipur?
Rajveer: The real-world industry does have its challenges, but the foundation I received at UEI Global helped me transition smoothly. The practical training, industry exposure, and soft skills sessions we had during college were very useful. Of course, the pace and expectations in actual jobs are faster, but I was well-prepared for it thanks to the hands-on approach of our college.
Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Rajveer: My time at UEI Global was extremely valuable. Professionally, it helped me gain industry-ready skills and a strong understanding of hospitality operations. Personally, it helped me build confidence, leadership abilities, and lifelong friendships. The faculty and mentors always pushed us to be our best, which still drives me today.
Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined UEI Global?
Rajveer: I was passionate about working in the hospitality industry and wanted a platform that would give me both quality education and industry exposure. When I learned about UEI Global’s reputation and its focus on practical learning and placements, I felt it was the right choice. Looking back, I’m happy I made that decision.
Careers360: You must have spent a memorable time at your UEI Global Jaipur. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
Rajveer: Absolutely, I do miss it! Some of my best memories are from the events and fests, especially our annual college functions and cultural programs. I also cherish the guest lectures, industrial visits, and the time spent with faculty and friends during practical sessions. The learning environment was always encouraging and supportive.
Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.
Rajveer: My routine included classroom learning in the morning, followed by practical lab sessions or group projects in the afternoon. We often had workshops, skill-based sessions, and sometimes guest lectures by industry professionals. Apart from academics, I was also part of student committees that helped organise events, giving me leadership experience early on.
Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?
Rajveer: I actively participated in cultural events, management games, and hospitality fests. These activities helped me improve my communication, teamwork, and planning skills. They also taught me how to work under pressure and stay organized—skills that are very useful in the hospitality industry today.
Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements, and what was the role of the institute in it?
Rajveer: The college played a major role in keeping us updated. We had guest sessions, industrial visits, and internship opportunities. Our faculty often shared real-time industry case studies and trends. The placement cell also guided us about the current hiring standards and helped us align our skills accordingly.
Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of this top College. What is the best part of UEI Global from a student's perspective?
Rajveer: The best part about UEI Global is the industry-driven education and the individual attention students receive. The faculty is knowledgeable and approachable, and the college truly focuses on making students job-ready. From internships to final placements, the support system here is very strong.
Careers360: What is your suggestion/guidance for the Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management aspirants?
Rajveer: My advice to hotel management aspirants is to stay curious, be proactive, and always be ready to learn. Focus on building soft skills like communication and teamwork—they are just as important as technical knowledge. Use every opportunity in college—internships, workshops, events—to gain real experience. And most importantly, choose a college like UEI Global, where learning is practical and career-focused.
