PUTHAT 2019 - Panjab University released PUTHAT admit card which is an important document in online mode on April 30, 2019. Earlier, the release date for the admit card was April 16, which was extended later. Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) will be conducted in offline mode on May 10, 2019 (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). The result will be declared on May 27, 2019. Students will be offered admission based on the merit they secure in the entrance test. The qualified candidates in PUTHAT entrance test will be called to participate in the counselling process.The authorities closed the registration for PUTHAT 2019 on April 18. The authorities extended the registration process for PUTHAT 2019 from April 4 to 18. The authorities also extended the date to deposit the fee in any branch of State Bank of India from April 8 to 22, 2019. PUTHAT is an university level entrance exam conducted for admission to Bachelor’s of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor’s of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM), which are four years programmes. Candidates seeking admission to these courses had to apply for PUTHAT 2019. The application form for the entrance test was available from March 5, 2019 onwards.

What's New in PUTHAT 2019?

PUTHAT Admit Card 2019

The admit card of PUTHAT is issued to only those candidates who successfully registered for the entrance exam. The admit card of PUTHAT is available only in online mode on April 30, 2019. The authorities will not send the admit card to candidates through post or courier. The steps to download the admit card is given below:

PUTHAT 2019 Exam Pattern

Students who are appearing for PUTHAT should know the exam pattern of PUTHAT as it will give them idea about the total numbers of questions asked, exam duration and marking scheme. According to PUTHAT exam pattern, the entrance test is conducted in pen and paper based mode, which consists of 100 questions. One mark is allotted for each question and 0.25 marks is deducted for every wrong response. The exam duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Who are Ineligible to Apply for PUTHAT Entrance Test?

Candidates who have passed/appeared in 12 exam of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are not eligible to appear for PUTHAT 2019. The reason being Punjab University has derecognised the institution.

PUTHAT 2019 Application Form

The application form of PUTHAT was released in online mode on March 5, 2019. Candidates have to keep the requisite documents ready before filling the application form. The step by step process to fill the application form is given below:

Step 1 - Registration

Students have to fill the following details in the application form of PUTHAT to register themselves:

  • SMS Consent (Y/N) (By pressing against 'Yes' candidates will receive notification on their mobile

In this section, students have to answer the following questions:

  • Are you or either of your parents class B or Class C regular employee of Panjab University? (Y/N)

After entering the above details, candidates have to press 'Submit' button. Candidates are redirected to a new page wherein applicants have to note down their application number, login ID and password. The login ID and password is sent to their registered email ID and mobile number. In addition, they also get the option to download the fee challan, which they have to download and take the printout of it. Next, candidates have to deposit the fee at any branch of State Bank of India, immediately one day after printing of fee challan.

Step 2 - Login

In this part of PUTHAT application from 2019, students have to login by entering their login ID and password. After entering their credential, applicants are redirected to a page wherein they have to fill the remaining details, such as:

PUTHAT Answer Key 2019

After the completion of the entrance test, the authority will release the answer key along with the question paper in online mode. The answer key will be available in pdf format. With the help of the answer key, students can cross- check their answers, assess their performance by calculating their probable scores.

The university also facilitates students will an option for filing an objection in
PUTHAT answer key. Students can raise their objections regarding the discrepancies through email only. The objections raised by students will be reviewed by the experts, post which a final answer key will be released.

PUTHAT Result 2019

The authority will declare the result of PUTHAT in online mode on May 27, 2019. The university will also release a merit list based on the marks secured by candidates in PUTHAT. To get through the entrance test, students have to secure the minimum cutoff marks in the test. The qualified students will be invited for the counselling. Candidates can download PUTHAT result online only as there will be separate result cards issued to students by the authority. The steps to check the result is given below:

PUTHAT Cutoff 2019

The PUTHAT cutoff is the minimum marks candidates need to obtain to qualify the test, which is specified the university. The cutoff for 2019 is not yet announced, it will be updated in this article once the authority declares it. Candidates, however, can refer to the previous year’s cuttoff and accordingly set their preparation level.

PUTHAT 2019 Verification of Result

If a candidate is not satisfied with the result and expect that the score could be higher than mentioned on the result, in such a case, facility for verification of result is available. To verify the result, students will be provided a photocopy of the answer-sheet on payment of Rs. 10,000 within 10 days after the announcement of the result. The authority verifies the result of PUTHAT within three working days. In any discrepancy is found in candidate’s result , it would accordingly be revised and the fee deposited will be refunded. Students should note that there should not be any re-evaluation of answer-sheets under any circumstances.

PUTHAT 2019 Counselling

Only those who obtain the minimum cutoff marks set by university can attend the counselling process. The authority will probably conduct two rounds of counselling, depending on the availability of seats. The qualified candidates will have to download and submit the admission form on the official website on May 30, 2019. The also have to upload the copy of the original following certificates - date of birth, qualifying examination and applicable category certificate by June 27, 2019. Students also have to carry the original documents on the day of counselling, along with the requisite fee.
