PUTHAT 2020 - The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management will conduct Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) in offline mode on May 15, 2020. The institute has issued a notification regarding the release of its application form on February 06, 2020. The application form of PUTHAT 2020 will be available on the website from March 24. Candidates who wish to take admission in the courses offered by the Panjab University need to appear in the PUTHAT 2020. In order to appear they must ensure that they fulfill the PUTHAT 2020 eligibility criteria. The qualified candidates in Panjab University admission test or PUTHAT 2020 will be called for the counselling process. PUTHAT is a university level entrance examination and is conducted for admission to two of the major courses - Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM). BHMCT is a four year programme in which there are 60 seats for Indian aspirants and 06 NRI seatsWhile in BTTM there are 30 seats for Indians and 03 NRI seats. Candidates who are willing to apply for the PUTHAT entrance test must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of PUTHAT 2020 at every stage of the admission process. The PUTHAT eligibility criteria 2020 includes the qualifying examination,minimum percentage/CGPA scored and the board from which the candidate has passed his examinations.

The candidates who have passed or will appear in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad, will not be allowed to apply for PUTHAT 2020 owing to its derecognition by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The examination which is conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, is not included in the booklet of recognised exams.

The application form of PUTHAT 2020 will be released on the official website on March 24, 2020. Candidates applying must ensure they have the requisite documents before filling the PUTHAT 2020 application form. The step by step process to be followed is given below:

Candidates can download the fee challan and deposit the fee in any branch of State bank of India using website generated challan.

Step 6 - For future reference, candidates are advised to take the printout and keep it with them.
PUTHAT 2020 exam centre is the city or place where the entrance test will be held. PUTHAT exam will be conducted by the authorities concerned only in Chandigarh. The exact address of the PUTHAT exam centre 2020 where the student must report will be mentioned on the admit card.
The admit card for PUTHAT 2020 will be issued to only those candidates who have successfully registered and made the fee payment for the exam. PUTHAT admit card 2020 will be released tentatively in the last week of April 2020. Candidates must note that the admit card won't be sent by the authorities either through post or courier. According to the PUTHAT exam pattern 2020, the entrance test will be conducted in pen and paper based mode consisting of 100 questions. One mark is allotted for each question and 0.25 marks is deducted for every incorrect answer. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
It is imperative for the candidates to know the syllabus of PUTHAT 2020 as it will help them to have an insight into the topics to be covered and paid more attention to.

Once the entrance test is conducted, after a few days the authority will release the answer key along with the question paper in online mode in pdf format. With the help of it, students could cross- check their answers and assess their performance by calculating the probable scores
The university provides the facility to the students to file an objection in PUTHAT answer key 2020. In case of any discrepancies the objections can be raised through email onlyAfter the review of the experts, the final answer key will then be posted.
A candidate shall be included in a particular merit list on the basis of attainment of a minimum cutoff required. Candidates securing equal marks will be bracketed together.Their inter se merit will be determined by the UIHTM as per Panjab University norms. Candidates, however, can refer to the previous year’s cut off for better knowledge.
Other category candidates
The authorities will release the result of PUTHAT 2020 in online mode in the last week of May 2020. The university will also release a merit list based on the marks secured by candidates in the exam. In order to clear the entrance test, students have to secure the minimum cutoff marks in the test. The students who qualify will be called for the counselling. Candidates will be able to download PUTHAT result online only as there will be separate result cards issued to students by the authority.
