PUTHAT 2024 Exam - Merit List (Out), Result, Counselling, Cutoff, Admission Process

The authorities released the PUTHAT 2024 eligibility criteria along with the brochure. The eligibility criteria of PUTHAT 2024  includes certain conditions that aspirants have to meet to be eligible for admission. Candidates can check eligibility criteria for PUTHAT below: 

The PUTHAT 2024 eligibility criteria for candidates appearing in the exam have been listed below. 

• Candidates appearing in PUTHAT exam 2024 are required to qualify in Class 12 or Higher Secondary exam conducted by a recognized University/Board/Council. 
• Candidates also must qualify the Class 12 examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45%marks for BC/ST/SC/PwD candidates) with English as a compulsory subject. 

PUTHAT Eligibility Criteria 2024- Who are not eligible to apply?

• Candidates completing their Class 12 from Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are not eligible to apply for PUTHAT 2024 as this institution is not recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh. 
• In addition, the eligibility of candidates completing their Higher Secondary exam under Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi is subject to verification as per the PUTHAT eligibility criteria 2024. 

To appear for the PUTHAT entrance exam 2024, aspirants were required to fill out the online application form. The PUTHAT application form 2024 was released on April 2. Candidates could submit the PUTHAT registration form by April 30. The last date to deposit the PUTHAT application fee is May 2, 2024. During the PUTHAT 2024 form-filling process, aspirants must fill their personal and academic details, followed by uploading of documents by May 5. 

Candidates can check the steps listed below to complete the PUTHAT application process.

• Aspirants need to click on the 'Registration' link provided on the official website, puthat.puchd.ac.in, and fill in the registration details.
• Candidates must note that all the required information must be provided and correct as there will be no provision to add or rectify any information later. 
• Once the registration process is complete, applicants receive their login Id and password on their registered email IDs and mobile numbers. 
• The candidates should note the login ID and password for future reference which can be used to download the bank challan. 
• The fee for PUTHAT application fee 2024 needs to be paid via the bank challan, at any branch of the State Bank of India, one day after the generation of the same. The fee for the PUTHAT application form 2024 is non-refundable. 
• After about 24 hours of deposition of the PUTHAT application fee, candidates need to log in to the application form of PUTHAT and fill in other requisite information along with uploading the photograph and signature. 
• After filling in all the details, candidates need to click on the 'Save and Confirm" button to finally submit the application form. It is also important to note that after this step no changes can be made to the PUTHAT application form 2024.

PUTHAT Application fee

PUTHAT is the common entrance examination for admission to Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management courses. Aspirants planning to appear for PUTHAT 2024 should check the exam pattern beforehand. The exam pattern of PUTHAT 2024 includes details like mode of paper, duration, types of questions asked, number of questions and more. PUTHAT Exam Pattern

Candidates who completed the registration process and made the fee payment for the exam could download the PUTHAT admit card on May 14. Students had to use their login id and password to download the PUTHAT 2024 admit card. Candidates must note that the admit card of PUTHAT won't be sent by the authorities either through post or courier. Candidates who completed their application form by paying the late fee of Rs. 500 could receive the admit card manually by CET cell on May 15. 

The admit card for PUTHAT 2024 was issued to only those candidates who completed the registration process and made the fee payment for the exam. Candidates must note that the admit card of PUTHAT won't be sent by the authorities either through post or courier. Students had to use their email ID and password to download the PUTHAT 2024 admit card. The admit card of PUTHAT 2024 includes the name, allotted exam centre, exam date & time, important instructions, and more. The steps to download the PUTHAT hall ticket are mentioned below:

Step 1 - Click on the official link to be provided.

Step 2 - Enter your login ID and password.

Step 3 - The admit card of PUTHAT 2024 will appear on the screen.

Step 4 - Download the PUTHAT admit card.

Step 5 - Take the printout of the admit card and keep it for future reference.

The authorities declared the result of PUTHAT 2024 in online mode on May 29. Candidates could download their PUTHAT 2024 results on the official website, results.puexam.in.  Aspirants can check details of marks obtained in the entrance exam through PUTHAT result 2024. The steps to check the PUTHAT result 2024 are:

• visit the official website.

• Click on the PUTHAT result tab.

• Enter roll number to open the PUTHAT scorecard 

• The result contains the score that the candidate secured in the examination with rank.

• Candidates are advised to take a printout copy of the result.

Candidates who appeared in PUTHAT must meet the PUTHAT cutoff 2024 to qualify for the examination. Candidates securing the minimum marks according to the PUTHAT cutoff will be included in the merit list released by the Punjab University. Candidates meeting the cutoff of PUTHAT will be eligible to attend the counselling process. However, the admission of the candidates clearing the PUTHAT cutoff will be according to the merit rank obtained in the examination. The PUTHAT cutoff will be different for various categories as mentioned in the table below.

The authorities released the counselling dates on its official website - uihtm.puchd.ac.in. PUTHAT 2024 counselling was conducted in two rounds. PUTHAT counselling round 2 was conducted on June 26, 2024. PUTHAT counselling 2024 round 1 was held from June 12 to 13. Candidates who qualify entrance examination could attend the PUTHAT counselling 2024. The mode of PUTHAT 2024 counselling is offline. All qualified candidates were required to report physically at the University Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Chandigarh to attend the counselling of the PUTHAT 2024. Candidates must carry all the required documents while attending PUTHAT counselling. Candidates were called for counselling of PUTHAT according to the rank obtained in the merit list. Admission of candidates through PUTHAT counselling will be subject to availability of seats and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.
