Answer: The institute has been functioning for the past 20 years offering Bachelors and Masters degree courses in Hotel, Hospital, Hospitality & Culinary Art management. The aim of the college since its inception has been to groom students for suitable placement in the sectors catering to the abovementioned courses. The college has expertise in International training and placement being the main vision, the Alumni of the college is spread throughout the world in the best of organisations.

Answer: The IIHM Kolkata admission process is very smooth and easy which begins with the purchase of the application kit which is available online and offline both. The online application kit can be purchased from the website indianihm.com and the offline form can be purchased from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management (Salt Lake Campus) located at EN 33, Sector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700091. Entrances are held only till the results are awaited.

Careers360: There is a lot of stress that is being made with regard to interaction with the industry as well as companies that recruit. What are the steps being taken by the institute in this direction?

Answer: The institute tries to complete placement of students before the completion of the tenure of the specified course. The on job training recruitment and selection starts much before the completion of the course and this culminates in placement of selected students. The campus recruitment drive starts after the 5th semester for the Bachelors degree students and after the 3rd semester for the Master degree and Diploma students, resulting in guaranteed placement within the span of the course.

Answer: Internships both National and International are mandatory for all Degree and Diploma students and since it is mandatory it is the responsibility of the college to send all students for internship.
