You can join the merchant navy after Class 12, all you need 60 per cent or above in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and those wanting to join after class 10 need to have 40 per cent or above. Selection criteria depends on clearing the entrance exam, interview, and physical examination. To work as a seafarer you also need to clear the eye test.
