The hospitality sector is booming. During the last few years many international players like Accor, Hilton, Four Seasons have come to India where hotel management graduates would be needed in large numbers, says an expert.
Most students go for a three-year programme in hospitality. During the first year, the students have to learn the basics related to the hospitality industry. The common subjects for all are Front office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverages Production/ Services. “Apart from how to serve, a hotel management student gets to learn minute details such as measurement of tea cup, plate and cutlery etc. This is what makes him/her different from a non-trained professional,” shares another expert. During the second year, students go for an industrial training of 20 weeks and learns hands-on. In last year, the students study about finance, business environment, strategic management and other related subjects.

The most popular exam is NCHMCT JEE conducted for admission to 58 Hotel Management participating institutes. There are also other leading institutions set up by corporate groups with interests in the sector like the Welcomgroup, the Oberois and the Taj. NCHMCT JEE is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). NCHM JEE 2019 scores will be accepted by 21 Central Institutes, 14 State Government Institutes and 15 private institutes of Hotel Management.

NCHM JEE Application process: Application form was available online ( www.NCHM.org.) Candidates can choose to pay the application fees through Debit/Credit Card and e-challan. The cost of application form is:
Rs 800/- for General and OBC Categories candidates
Rs 400/- for SC/ST/PH /Trangender categories candidates
NCHMCT JEE Exam pattern 2019
The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and will have a total of 200 questions.
Negative marking: There will be a deduction of 1 mark for every wrong answer
Allotment of NCHM affiliated colleges shall be made on rank and merit based on the result in the entrance examination. There are no personal interviews or group discussions held in the selection process. NCHM JEE 2019 is a single-level examination.

According to the information available on the official website NCHM JEE 2020 will be held on 25th April 2020. If there is any change in the exam dates it will be available in the official website. NHTET April 2020 has been rescheduled from 11th April to 9th May 2020.
