Academics

The overall teaching quality is just average. There are professors who are very genuine with their work but most are just sub-par. Half the time, the students were asked to make presentations and explain the topic where as the professor just sat down doing nothing but grading. I remember syllabus not being completed and portions being skipped many times. The curriculum is just average. No rocket science and nothing you can not learn from YouTube.

IHM Bangalore is blessed with the top faculty in all core departments. The industry experience and academic excellence they do bring in classes enlightens the students to the max. The practicals do happen everyday which gives students a realtime experience of the theory they do learn. The curriculum includes 4 months of Industry Exposure Training in 2nd year wherein students are hired as interns in some of the top 5 star hotels of the country.
