About PUTHAT 2022
PUTHAT 2022: Panjab University has extended the PUTHAT registration 2022 till June 30. However, the last date for deposit of PUTHAT application fee 2022 through online mode is July 02. Candidates can register for PUTHAT 2022 exam at its official website, puthat.puchd.ac.in. PUTHAT 2022 exam date has been revised to July 15 instead of June 29 and the paper will be conducted in paper-based mode.
Candidates applying for PUTHAT 2022 must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of PUTHAT at every stage of the admission process. The basic PUTHAT exam eligibility criteria is to have passed class 10+2 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council. PUTHAT 2022 roll number and centre of examination will be issued to the candidates on July 08 on the official website. Candidates who have paid the requisite fee but not the rest of the information can fill up the PUTHAT application form 2022 via late fee payment of Rs 500 till July 12.
Panjab University, Chandigarh conducts the Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) for admissions to hospitality and tourism courses under the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM). PUTHAT is conducted once a year for admission into Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM). However last year due to covid-19, the admissions were granted on the basis of merit. BHMCT is a four-year programme having 60 seats for Indian aspirants, 06 NRI seats and 3 foreign nationals seats. While in BTTM there are 30 seats for Indians, 03 NRI and 2 for foreign nationals seats.
What is PUTHAT?
PUTHAT stands for Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test. The official notification for this examination has been released by the Panjab University, Chandigarh. This examination is a gateway for admission to the Bachelor of hotel management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM). The entrance test is conducted at Chandigarh only.

PUTHAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The PUTHAT 2022 eligibility criteria for candidates appearing in the exam have been listed below.
- Candidates appearing in PUTHAT 2022 are required to qualify in Class 12 or Higher Secondary exam conducted by a recognized University/Board/Council on or before the academic session of 2022-24.
- Candidates also must qualify the Class 12 examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45%marks for BC/ST/SC/PwD candidates) with English as a compulsory subject.
PUTHAT Eligibility Criteria 2022- Who are not eligible to apply?
- Candidates completing their Class 12 from Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are not eligible to apply for PUTHAT 2022 as this institution is not recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
- In addition, the eligibility of candidates completing their Higher Secondary exam under Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi is subject to verification as per the PUTHAT eligibility criteria 2022.

Candidates seeking admission to PUTHAT 2022 and fulfilling the required eligibility criteria have to fill out the PUTHAT 2022 application form to be able to appear in the entrance examination. PUTHAT 2022 registration started on May 24 in online mode. The application form can be filled out till June 16 for the generation of the user ID and password. However, the fee payment can be done till June 30 instead of June 18. Candidates who have not completed their PUTHAT form but have paid the requisite fee can complete their form (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) by paying a late fee of Rs. 500/- till July 12, 2022.
Candidates can check the steps listed below to complete the application process.
- Aspirants need to click on the 'Registration' link provided on the official website, puthat.puchd.ac.in and fill in the registration details.
- Candidates must note that all the required information needs to be provided and has to correct as there will be no provision of adding or rectifying any information at a later stage.
- Once the registration process is complete, applicants receive their login Id and password on their registered email IDs and mobile numbers.
- The candidates should note the Login id and password for future reference and can be used to download the bank challan.
- The fee for PUTHAT application fee 2022 needs to be paid via the bank challan, at any branch of the State Bank of India, one day after the generation of the same. The fee for the PUTHAT application form 2022 is non-refundable.
- After about 24 hours of deposition of the PUTHAT application fee, candidates need to log in to the application form of PUTHAT and need to fill in other requisite information along with uploading the photograph and signature.
- After filling in all the details, candidates need to click on the 'Save and Confirm" button to finally submit the application form. It is also important to note that after this step no changes can be made to the PUTHAT application form 2022.

PUTHAT 2022 Syllabus
The paper for PUTHAT will consist of 100 questions of one mark each. The total time allocated to the paper will be 90 minutes. The medium of examination shall be english only. There shall be negative marking i.e., 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

PUTHAT 2022 Result
Candidates can download their PUTHAT 2022 results on the official website of UIHTM. PUTHAT 2022 result date is August 05. Check all essential detail concerned with the PUTHAT scorecard. The steps to check the PUTHAT result 2022 are:
- Candidates have to login into the official website with the registration Id and Password.
- Candidates have to enter their roll number to open the PUTHAT scorecard

PUTHAT 2022 Cutoff
Candidates appearing in PUTHAT will have to meet the PUTHAT cutoff 2022 so as to qualify in the examination. Candidates securing the minimum marks according to the PUTHAT cutoff will be included the merit list released by the Punjab University. Candidates meeting the cutoff of PUTHAT will be eligible to attend the counselling process. However, the admission of the candidates clearing the PUTHAT cutoff will be according to the merit rank obtained in the examination. PUTHAT 2022 Counselling
Mode of Counselling: Offline
Candidates qualifying in the entrance examination will be able to attend the PUTHAT counselling 2022. The mode of PUTHAT 2022 counselling will be offline. All qualified candidates will be required to report physically at University Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Chandigarh to attend the counselling of the PUTHAT exam 2022. It is important that candidates carry all the required documents while attending PUTHAT counselling. Candidates will be called for counselling of PUTHAT according to the rank obtained in the merit list. Admission of candidates through PUTHAT counselling will be subject to availability of seats and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.
