Bsc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration - The National Council of Hotel Management( NCHM) and IGNOU jointly offer the three year programme of Bsc. in HHA. This three year programme provides students with the in depth knowledge ,skills and standards students need to acquire in the operational areas of Food & Beverages Service, Food and Production, Front Office Operation and Accommodation Operation. This course is offered at all the IHM’s. Like other courses the syllabus is the same for Bsc. HHA (Generic) and Bsc. HHA (Specialization) for the first three semesters. In the fourth semester students who will be opting specialisation are dispensed the subject they choose on the basis of marks and merit they score in first and second semesters. The admission in bachelor of science program in hospitality and hotel administration is mostly offered on the basis of the performance of the candidate in NCHM JEE (National Council of Hospitality Management Joint Entrance Examination) in the top hotel management colleges in India.

In order to get into the Bsc. HHA course there is a specific set of eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidate.
The foremost basic guideline is that you must have cleared NCHMCT JEE 2020 entrance examination for admission to IHM’s.
The upper age limit is 25 Yrs for General/OBC candidates, while it is 28 Yrs for SC/ST candidates as on July 1st 2020. The SC/ST candidates have an upper age limit relaxation of 3 years.
The minimum qualification for admission is the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have studied and passed English as a core/elective/functional subject in the examination they qualify.
As per the eligibility criteria of NCHMCT JEE, students who are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations are also eligible to appear in JEE 2020 on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand canceled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination is not conformed at the time of counseling.
Admission will be subjected to verification of original certificates or documents at the time of admission. Decision of NCHMCT regarding the eligibility will be final.
The NCHMCT regulates admission to Bsc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program by conducting Joint Entrance Examination( JEE) in the month of April every year. There are two courses offered namely - Bsc. HHA (Generic) and Bsc. HHA (Specialization). The syllabus is the same for the first three semesters. However in the fourth semester students who opt for specialisation will be bestowed upon with their choice based on the merit and the score they attain in the first two semesters. IHM is one of the renowned institutes of India. The ranking you need to get selected in IHM depends on your category (General /OBC/SC/ST) . If you comes under General catagory, then you need to secure a rank between 15-400 for best colleges which basically includes IHM Mumbai, Banglore and Pusa. If you are from OBC catagory, then you can get admission with rank till 1800 for Pusa , 5000 for Mumbai as well as 9000 for IHM Banglore. Rest the cut off changes every year.
