BIT BHMCT 2014 Admission Procedure will be conducted in accordance with merit list prepared by the exam conducting authority Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.  The merit list will be devised on the basis marks obtained by candidates in intermediate or equivalent examination. BIT Mesra will not conduct entrance examination neither in online nor offline mode to offer admission for four year Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) courses.

Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called to appear for documents verification cum admission process. Schedule for the verification cum admission process is yet to be notified.

Highlight of BIT BHMCT 2014 Admission Procedure: as information provided in the last year brochure.

  • Allotment of seats shall be made on the bases of merit, category of the candidates and availability of seats.
  • Candidate whose name appeared in the merit list will be required to give his order of choice of colleges or institutions.
  • BIT campuses offering BHMCT course and which are supported by the State Government are required to abide the reservation criteria for SC & ST are as per the norms of the State Govt.
  • 50% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed / have appeared for intermediate examination from Jharkhand State, taking it as one zone and the remaining 50% for candidates who have passed / have appeared for their qualifying examination from other states of the country.
  • Admission fee and Caution Money was Rs 20,000. Fee for the 8 semester course is given below-
  1. First semester: 51500
  2. Second semester: 51500
  3. Third semester: 52000
  4. Fourth semester: 52000
  5. Fifth semester: 55500
  6. Sixth semester: 55500
  7. Seventh semester: 59500
  8. Eight semester: 62500
  • All fees must be paid by crossed Demand Draft in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” payable at Ranchi.
  • Hostel mess charges will range from approximately Rs 2,500/- to Rs 3,000/- per month.

NO, there is no Information Technology course in any of the BITS campuses.

The courses offered in BITS are-

B.E CSE, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Civil Enginering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and B Pharma.

Dear Aspirant

Bitsat is entrance exam for admission into Birla Institute of technology and science.The level of exam is moderate and not so tough .You can score easily if you have done best practices for the exam .

If you will solve previous year question papers of jee mains and advanced then it's easy to score good marks .but the leading factor is accuracy and time Management as there are 150 question and only 3 hours are given .

If you want computer science in pilani campus then you should score 375+ and for other branches 320+ can be considered in safer zone. For pilani campus.

Hello there,

Yes, definitely you can persue phd in Physics after completing b.tech and m.tech degrees.
There are many reputed colleges in India and abroad that allows Engineers to persue doctorate degree in physics.
So you can choose to do Engineering first and then do phd in physics.

how many times can we write the exam ?

Hello! Unlike JEE Mains, you can write your BITSAT exam only once a year . This time the exam will be held between 16–25 May 2020 in various cities of India. Last date for submission of the BITSAT form is 31st of March. You can apply online for BITSAT exam. The eligibility criteria is to have a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and not less than 60% marks in each subject.

The paper will have a total of 150 questions that you have to solve in 180 minutes. If you solve all the 150 questions you can also open 10 bonus questions which will help you in scoring well. The paper is lengthy and time management is the key to BITSAT.
